This is The Man's dog in Kabul. He says it comes with the house he's rented but he keeps referring to it as "my dog". So the question about this dog is, is he or isn't he an Afghan Hound?
I think he is.

Look at their pointy snouts and the woolly feet. The same.
Sis thinks The Man's dog is an Irish Wolfhound, like this one:

There is no way anyone is going to the trouble of shaving that rumpled looking Seussian dog. It doesn't have an Afghan's coat.
I said PART Irish Wolfhound, because of the scrappy way it looks. Have you ever seen a shaved Irish Wolfhound? Long, pointy snout, although I'll give you that the nose is round. However, they are a giant breed, can be as high as 7 ft. So we'd need some perspective to know how big this dog is.
